Halloween in Aarhus - SUV Style!

Halloween is not generally celebrated in Denmark, but we gave the SUV a taste of spook alley, costumes, food and games, and pumpkin-carving plus some Michael Jackson Thriller music and old-fashioned American Halloween cartoons!  Our SUV reps even made Danish hot dogs wrapped as mummies, an ice hand floating in the punch, and guacamole spilling out of the mouth of a pumpkin! Our friends from Ghana especially loved the balloon stomping contest and dancing to the music.  Honestly, I must say they loved absolutely everything and went home really tired! 

Several times a year, one of our mission assignments is to provide stake activities where we can bring young single adults together to interact and have fun.  Many of the wards and branches of the church are very small.  Our Aarhus Stake is very large geographically, so the Halloween night party was not intended for everyone, but we did have three different areas come together for a few hours of food and fun.  We had an attendance of 28 including us missionaries who live right here, and seven investigators!  We were very pleased with this turnout as it was our largest activity yet, and the most investigators together at one time.
