Foggy Mornings

We have finally received a bit more "winter" in Denmark.  We have had some fog in the mornings.  Sometimes it is kind of eery, but still beautiful...

We also got a few more inches of snow that is still on the ground, and we have had to scrape ice off our car windshield three times. We can't complain much though, as our first winter in Denmark has been very mild and so far have not experienced the "extreme temperatures" we read about in our missionary literature.  Still, we have donned our winter coats for most of the days now, and are glad we have them, as sometimes the wind and humidity makes the temperature feel much colder than it really is.  But we can't complain about that either, as we have Camie and Chris and their family living in North Dakota!

We don't have many new pictures this week, but thought the kids would like to know that Dad's "sculptionary" is always a hit in SUV.

Grandpa's is the one on the right with the beard.  Homer Simpson is on the left.  Lin's is the one in the middle that started the whole competition!  He actually did Homer as well.

Mike with the Victory sign is one of our investigators who loves coming to everything.  Today he showed up at Church in a white shirt and tie!  We had "The Work and the Glory" for ward movie night last Friday, and he wants to see it several times so he can get it all...

 

Elder Parker is still my companion, and we are doing well.  We love our little apartment, and can see more and more how the Lord is truly in the "details" of our missionary call.  It took a bit to settle in, but we feel good about the things we are doing. 

We have our language test in about 10 days, so will make another trip to Copenhagen.  Our Danish is very, very limited, but we hope to pass the test!  We always enjoy the trips to the mission office as we get to visit with other senior missionaries and compare notes.  This trip we will also welcome another senior couple coming to our part of Denmark to work on records preservation for family history.  We are helping the mission office with getting their housing figured out up in Viborg.  We are helping shut down an apartment in Randers and then moving the furnishings to Viborg.  Wahoo!  Moving!  Dad is in charge.  I will supervise.

We all have challenges we face in our families.  Remember to fast and to pray for other family members as well as for help with our own individual problems.  Sometimes we don't even know what problems others are facing.  Fasting and praying for others will also bring blessings back into our own lives.  We may help bring answers to someone else's prayers.  There is strength found in families and in the unity of righteous living.  We love you all!
